Friendship and service

Our old food delivery van didn’t love the heat last week—it completely stopped running, and we couldn’t figure out why. That’s when Eli and Maicor stepped in. In no time, they had it not only running again, but they even got the air conditioning working. We were thrilled—and so was the van! Total cost? $0. When we asked how much we owed, they simply said they were happy to help an organization that supports military veterans. ❤️

Here’s the part that really stayed with us: Both Eli and Maicor are from Venezuela. Maicor came to the U.S. to build a better life for his wife and daughter. Because of current policies in both the U.S. and Venezuela, he can’t return home to visit them—and he can’t bring them here. They have every reason to be discouraged, but instead, they chose generosity and kindness. There’s a powerful reminder in that: A little more kindness. A little more friendship. That’s how we make the world a better—and safer—place for all of us.

🙏 Thank you, Eli and Maicor. Need help with your car? These are your guys.
